Change.

A year ago I decided not to go back to teaching music education and, instead, to begin pursuing another calling and creative outlet - family films. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made and I've not looked back since.

HOWEVER, CHANGE ISN'T ALWAYS EASY.

Too many times we're too scared, anxious, stuck in what we know, or even afraid of what others might think. This inhibits us so much that we can't even begin to process taking the steps needed to embark on the next phase of life. At least that's how it's been for me in the past...maybe not you. :) But last year...

I FACED MY FEARS.

And was overwhelmed by the positive response of my dream. I have been consistently blown away by how my followers have totally embraced my dream and vision. I can't even begin to express my gratitude for those of you who have supported me this past year. THANK YOU.

Life is like that. We will never know what we can accomplish until we step out in faith and embrace the "scary" for the possibility of a dream. But if I could go back next year and make this decision again, I would do it all over again.

I find this is similar to being a mother. I've never been a mother (unless you count my dog...which we won't count him. ha!) but I know that there are so many life changes that come, so many fears, so many questions of "how do I do this?" or "how will I do this?". Yet, a mother embraces her journey in a beautiful, tender way.

And if given the choice to "do it all again", we all know what her answer would be.

----

If you've made it this far with my afternoon musings, then I suggest you go ahead and watch this beautiful film from the most beautiful family where the mother was truly beautiful in so many ways and her love for her children was captivating.

Love,
Nicole
